A.5 Single Occupancy cabin will be charged 80% of the double occupancy price.

Q.1.6 What time does the tour starts?

A.1.6 Liveaboard tour starts the first day morning ones all the clients arrive. Most clients come morning flight of the first day . We will pick up all clients on that day and start the tour around 1030 am.

Q.1.7 What time is the check out from the boat?

A.1.7 Standard check out time is around 0830 am on Last day . Unless its programmed in another way.

2.Arrival & Departure

Q.2.1 What time should I Arrive ?

Q.2.1 You should arrive by morning of the first day , in morning time. If you are arriving in an afternoon or an evening flight you would require to come one day ahead to the tour. You would require a city hotel stay for this night. We can also arrange it please check our city hotels.

Q.2.2 Will someone meet me at the airport and if nobody is there what can I do?

A.2.2 Our team airport representative will be there at airport to Greet & Arrange everything. If by anychance you miss our airport representative please call the hotline in the holiday Voucher.

Q.2.3 What if am arriving couple of days earlier , can you arrange a resort for me to stay till the tour start date?

A.2.3 We are a full service tour operator , we would be pleased to help you choose the suitable island resort stay.

Q.2.4 My flights depart Maldives in Evening , After check out I have a long wait for flight. What do you suggest?

A.2.4 If you are having an evening flight there are couple of option we offer. Can take city hotel for the rest of the day , if not more then 6 hours can be considered as day use and will be charge on Day use rate.
If not preferring to stay in a city hotel , other option is leaving laguage on airport baggage area. $3 per bag they charge and you can have a guided tour in Male’ city for couple of hours . After the tour you can take lunch and come to Airport.
And option is , in airport hotel you can use pool side for $25 per person. Spend your time near the pool area , also use the restaurent for lunch time and dinner time, shower room is there which can be used and can get back to flight on time.

Also if you want to have a bird eye view of Maldives and is with a group we can charter 15 mins photo flight for an exciting photo shoot or just watch have get the beautiful Maldives from the birds eye view .

3. Diving In Maldives

Q.3.1 Whats the minimum Qualification and experience I require to have to have in order to scuba dive in a liveaboard Tour?

A.3.1 Padi Open Water is the minimum Qualification/ BSAC Ocean Diver or an equivalent certification.
First day , first dive will be a check dive , dive guide will evaluate the diving skill of you. Please make sure to bring your Dive License and Log book along with you.

Q.3.2 Whats the best dive season in Maldives?

A.3.2 Diving in Maldives is good through out the year. However the best of all is from Jan – April . As the visibility is at the best and with calm weather. However Diving in Maldives is through out the year . And even though there is a quick shower you can expect to have great dives. Advantage of other months is there can be high amount of plankton in water and will definitely give you the opportunity to see the Manta feeding show and also see the great big guy Whale shark on your tour.

Q.3.3 What is the water Temperature in Maldives?

A.3.3 24°C (75°F) in February and July to 27°C (81°F) in April, May and September.

Q.3.4 Whats the Wet suit thickness you recommend for Maldives Water?

A.3.4 Best and most frequently used is 3mm full suit . However if you can get cold easily 5 mm full length suit will be good.

Q.3.5 What type of diving is done in Maldives mostly?

Q.3 6 require dive gears , is this available for rental?

A.3.6 Dive Equipments are available for rental , It is advised to inform while you booking or atleast 1 week before your tour. Also preferred gears and if you know the size , for us to make sure its available in prior. Please see the dive rental price.

Payments methods and Currency used in Maldives

Q.4.1 How do I pay for my booking?

A.4.1 We will send you an invoice with our company detail and bank A/C detail.
At the moment we only accept only bank wire transfer.

Q.4.2 Whats are the currency used in Maldives?

Q.4.2 USD is the recommended currency in use , however we will accept EURO
Sterling pounds . But the exchange rate may differe for these , so we prefer USD .

Q.4.3 Can I use credit card for Extras onboard?

A.4.3 Yes we accept Visa and Master card, but please note credit card will require another 4% to be charged as for the service provider . This is the standard % charged by them in Maldives. We advice to pay by cash to avoide this 4%.

Q.4.4 What about tipping the boat crews?

A.4.4 There are no set rules for tipping. Tipping is the best way to make the crew members happy and value there service. Ones the tour has ended the cruise leader will provide a envolope for tipping. You may put how much you would like to give them as a tip which will be shared among all the team members in the tour . Average tipping is US$50 Per person .

A.5.2 When you have special dietary requirement , please inform us your preference while on booking for us to take note and inform our chef , which will give them the time to arrange menu.

Q.5.2 Where can I smoke on the boat?

A.5.2 Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the ship in saloon, rooms , bathrooms & in engine room etc. You may smoke outside outside in the open air. However please do not throw your ciggerete filter into the sea. Always use the ashtray.

Q.5.3 Is internet available and how can I use mobile phone service?

A.5.3 Internet will be available onboard , and it will work only at certain locations depending on the area we are . Internet available may not be fast , it can be used for small mail exchanging . not too large files can be downloaded or send as the link might be very week .
If you need to call anywhere often , the best recommendation is on arrival buying a sim card from service providers in airport. Both GSM 900 & 1800 MOBILE phones work in Maldives. You also can find roaming for your mobile mostly .

Q.5.4 What type of plug points and electricity is available onboard?

A.5.4 Our boat Eagle Ray have 110 v & 220 Volts sockets. Other boats have 220 Volt. Our plug points is european standard and can we have adopters aswell to match other plugs.

Q.5.5 Can we do a combine holiday package for liveaboard & Resort with you?

A.5.5 Yes we can arrange one week liveaboard and one week resort holiday package for your preference.

Q.5.6 Do you arrange adventure holidays for near by Sri lanka after a liveaboard tour?

A.5.6 We can combinly arrange Maldives and Sri Lanka tour for your needs. As Sri Lanka is just one hour away from flight it’s a good idea to do one week in Sri Lanka and One week or 2 week in Maldives. You may email us for it.
